My job has its dangers. One of the workshops we use also makes jewellery for some unutterably expensive names around the Place Vendôme and every now and again I'll be sitting there and they'll bring out some fantastic piece just to show some technique or stone. Well one thing leads to another and guess what? If you trebled the price here you would not even be close to its retail price in Paris or Bond Street. This is sheer madness on our part - we just like the fact that every so often one of our customers picks up a dream piece at an insanely low price. 3.3cm long, 18ct Gold with hinged lever back hooks (good and secure), 60 Diamonds surrounding the stone totalling 0.29ct and 4 rose cut Diamonds totalling 0.47ct. A matched pair of Rubellite cabochons totalling 7.83ct. Rubellite is the highest quality pink Tourmaline and is becoming increasingly scarce and the price just keeps going up.
