CITRINE
Citrine is variety of quartz. It ranges in colour from a pale yellow to brown. Citrine has ferric iron impurities, and is rarely found in nature. Most commercial citrine is in produced from artificially heated amethyst or smoky quartz which makes the gem pale to a yellow hue. Visually, it is almost impossible to tell the difference between cut Citrine and Yellow Topaz.
