I admit I had my doubts, but I'm a convert. The wine breathes so much more easily in this claret jug and it takes considerably less effort to lift and pour when compared to the traditional upright decanter. The silver is applied by electroform to the glass handle which snakes around the neck. Nicely balanced and a real talking point at any dinner table. Makes quite a nice piece of sculpture too.
